Process
Repairs are completed using hand-dyed cotton embroidery thread coloured with natural dyes. Rather than choosing from a fixed palette, I work with the threads available in the studio at the time of repair, allowing each commission to respond to both the textile and the materials.
The threads are prepared using a traditional soy milk binder before dyeing.
Variations in colour and tone, together with the gradual softening and fading of colour over time, are natural characteristics of the material and form part of the repair itself.

Every repair is individually quoted based on the textile, the size and condition of the damaged area, and the time required.

Delivery
The estimated repair time is approximately 2–4 weeks.
As each repair is unique, the turnaround time may vary depending on the condition and complexity of the textile. A more accurate estimate will be provided with your quotation after reviewing your request.
International commissions are welcome. Shipping arrangements and costs will be discussed during the quotation process.
Clients are responsible for all shipping costs to and from the studio. Shipping fees are not included in the repair price.
Please package your textile carefully to minimise the risk of damage during transit.
While every care is taken once your textile has arrived at the studio, I cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage that occurs during shipping.

Care
To help preserve your repaired textile for many years, please follow these care recommendations.
- Hand washing is recommended whenever possible.
- If machine washing is necessary, use a gentle cycle inside a laundry bag.
- Avoid bleach or harsh detergents.
- Air dry away from direct sunlight.
- Natural dyes will gradually soften and fade over time. This ageing is part of the character of the repair.
